D-008: The Cozy Cottage
Theme: Cozy Cottage
The warm rays of sunshine drifted lazily through the windows of the cottage, lighting the room in hues of yellows and oranges. The nooks and crannies it didn't quite reach shading into comfortable hues of red and purple. The whole area was warm and cozy, inviting those who entered into it's embrace. Secretia had spent many days just lounging within the walls, letting time pass as it wanted.
Today was no different. The vampire laid face down on her bed, safely tucked away on a loft overlooking the rest of the cottage. The warm atmosphere causing her to curl into her soft sheets, humming softly at the comfort she felt. She knew she could easily stay here for the rest of the day, but there was a certain dragon who wasn't going to let that happen.
She could already heard him, his little body doing his best to scrabble up the hardwood stairs that led up to her loft. Every little thump as he landed upon the next step, every soft flutter of his wings as he tried to gain more air. A fond smile curled itself onto her face, though she buried it deeper into her pillow. Perhaps if he saw how comfy she was he'd be more inclined to join her rather than attempt to rouse her.
But it was for naught, his little claws scrabbling against the floors letting her know he had finally finished the climb, now she just waited for him to climb up the little ladder she had made for him just for this purpose. Within moments she heard him climbing up, and then felt the movement of her blankets as he scrabbled closer. As the tiny dragon finally reached her face, he flopped down next to her. His breath coming out in little huffs. Secretia opened a single eye, her smile growing at the sight of her exhausted companion.
"I told you, Armi, you need to exercise more." she teased the little guy, the only response she got was a puff of smoke. With a snort of amusement, Secretia shifted, pulling the little dragon under the blanket with her. "Lets nap a lil longer buddy. Cel will wake us up eventually."
Arminius seemed to agree this time, curling against his rider as he let himself relax. Warm and cozy, just like how his rider liked it.
