Den Theme: Overgrown Ghost town

It was a small building, at first glance. a warehouse almost, or a large storage unit. Neon lights buzzed weakly, flickering, some already crashed to the ground, dead outright or feebly clinging to life. The glow ghostly in dense fog banks perpetually shrouding the area.
The ghost town.

It was a little slice of Americana frozen in time by the chronoscape and chucked into the middle of nowhere. Dense forest for miles than you reached it, a diner sign glowing out of the treeline, the building and parking lot shoved between broad trunks. A gas station with one straight through the middle, segmenting the snack section from a magazines... whatever was between swallowed up whole.
Everything had tilted into the forest and whomever rolled the dice as to what was still wood and what was now small town nostalgia had seemingly been more than a little drunk at the time. Odder still everything worked perfectly, beyond the signs of disrepair along the fringes of the little place. Two Rivers, if the signs were anything to go by.

Everything alive and vibrant, yet frozen. Rigored like a dead thing, but glowing; a beacon in the mists...
Music drifted from radios and juke boxes, interspersed by a velvety, mid-Atlantic announcer who seemed a bit too aware of 'current events' to be coincidental. Lights worked, televisions offered HD feeds but only played old black and white movies. The deeper you went, the stranger it got, and at its heart that rundown little building. A park to one side, a playground the other. Behind it loomed the town fairground, now constantly drenched on fog, music tingling and lights setting the mists ablaze. Setting the otherwise innocuous building in vibrant relief, while a few trees sat in parking spots out front like would-be customers.
The Abandoned Arcade.
