Gilded Cage/Barracks tent
Ferdinand's den sits within the thick of a sprawling Military base, and can be established at something akin to a barracks or fancy tent of sorts. It started off a small structure, with cramped hammocks and barely any space to sit and read, let alone to let an architect work and design complicated machinery. Ferdi was often subjected to early morning drills from the sergeants around him, the scent of unwashed bodies, and loud screeching alarms that would go off at the break of day and the middle of the night. He hated it, and often would petition to move, which. Finally seemed to work once he became involved with Nico.
With the Irrit choosing to stay with him, and then Ferdinand seeming to become a subject of interest after gaining his own two dragons, the base and his commander, Alexander, saw fit to move him up in the world a little bit. To treat him nice, for once. His dim, grody little barrack corner became a larger tent with thick canopy and large support poles in orange and browns. He was allowed furniture, something that had been far from his reach as anything before he'd become 'useful', including multiple sets of dresser draws, shelves and chests to keep his equipment, along with a large architect's drawing table so that he could better do his actual job without squinting in the dark with the faint light of an oil lamp.
Now light was provided with real electristiy, and the floor was a carpet of rugs and cushions. He hung trinkets and evidence of his discoveries along the inside support poles, wooden now over fiberglass and cold metal, and the flap had a secure lock on it over just a loose fold anybody could just waltz into.
It was big enough to house both his dragons, too, along with some basic cooking equipment, a few hammocks and a double bed. The outside shaded trees around the tent itself, having been put into a small garden area to better suit the larger dragons the both possessed - and thankfully, be away from the nasty alarm sirens.
