Ashiwa doesn’t have a permanent home to call hers, per se, but her preferred location where she chooses to stay with her dragons is within a cave-like opening, carved by herself and with the help of one of her Earth crosses. The den is situated within a canyon wall, not far down from the topmost edge of the canyon, and overlooking a small river below. The canyon and surrounding environment is a cross between arid plains and desert, with the bottom of the canyon shielded from harsh direct sunlight for most of the day, and collecting enough water to form a thriving environment. Above the canyon, the elevated land consists of mostly hardy brownish-yellow plants that can survive the sun and lack of water, as well as the wind that blows through the canyons almost non-stop.
The entrance to Ashiwa’s den itself is situated at the back of a natural ledge that had formed as the land eroded away. The ledge itself had a significant lip both above and below the entrance, though the one above has been chipped down slightly so that Ashiwa and her dragons could land a bit better without clipping their wings on the stone. The overhanging lip served to direct most of the wind away from the entrance as well as any severe weather. The actual entrance consisted of a locking, sliding glass door, situated in a doorway that was barely big enough for her to fit through without tucking her wings in. The insides are decently spacious, with everything from a little hatchery room to a study filled with bean bags and blankets. As a flying magical creature who needs a lot of sun, she had also drilled windows into the wall of every room that could access the sunlight, and these windows are protected by the same sliding glass system- mostly so that should a sandstorm hit, her den wouldn’t immediately turn into a pile of dust and sand.
