Personality: Monti, while still aggressive and snappy, is more bark then bite. He's trying to curb his unending temper as best he can in order to keep the home he's found within Malakai's 'family', as the vernid and his dark/earth hybrid Rivia put it. Mal has started to teach him that screaming out his anger is better then *actually* biting and yeeting them into the sun like he did previously.
This large dino chicken dragon has the unfortunate add-on of being claustrophobic. He hates small spaces and places he feels crowded in to the point where if he's staying somewhere for a long time, he'll rip up and rearrange the environment to be a wide strip of loose earth and an unobstructed view of the sky. Because of this, Malakai has started to re-use camp grounds instead of wandering wherever the wind takes him like he used to in order to both save the poor trees from being ripped from their spaces of dirt, and to make Monti more comfortable.
Monti is also very useful in controlling Leshen's temper tantrums, and is often seen chasing the murderous creature around once Malakai realises he's gone. Monti is also afraid of Rivia after his defeat in the old Naki farm where he met the due for the first time, but like hell he'd tell her that, or anybody else.
He walks with a slight limp because of them both, Rivia's tail spikes having done some serious damage to his thigh. This will heal over time
