Avanindra was actually the first dragon Meiron ever encountered, and the memory stuck in the independent dragons mind  in the months afterards. Eventually he re-found the navy cat and desiced to stick around a bit. Despite Avani's great size, he is a gentle soul and adores looking after and playing with youngsters, he can lay down for hours with them marveling at his wings; and also with other dragons, especially if they aren't as confident as he is in himself. When 'employed' he's very hard-working, often doing more than his share, which quite often comes down to his impatience with others in reagards to getting stiff done. One thing to be aware of is that Avani is very possesive of certain things, and anyone trying to take them... well... they'd best get as far away as possible.

Avani is classified as a huge dragon, he stands at around 12ft tall at the hips, as well as been about 35ft in length, his wings are roughly 26 ft, wingtip to wingtip and he weighs a lot. Due to his size he is more than capable of carrying a rider if need be, and though he can fly if need be he tends to use them more for extra balance.
