Name: Ikan Khanai
Nickname: Fluffy Boy
Friendly | Easily Frustrated | Mediator
Ikan is a friendly individual, trying his best to put on welcoming fronts for others to enjoy. He keeps his frustrations and secrets close, even when they threaten to boil over. When you're full of emotion, somehow you learn how to ignore it and keep a level of calm.
Born to an isolated bandit family, Ikan was quickly taken away from the unsafe life with his brother Oran by their father. Together they grew up hunting and living alone together. Oran and Ikan strayed in their lives as they grew, with Ikan following in his father's footsteps in crafting with his brother becoming increasingly obsessed with magic. The two of them butted heads often.
One day, while hunting with his father, Ikan lost control of his werewolf self and brutally attacked him. When he fled to Oran to get help, the older feline was fed up and cast Ikan from his home. He eventually learned of his father's death by finding his journal in a pile of charred wood. That was all that was left of his childhood home when he returned weeks later.
Ikan fled after this discovery, fleeing through countries to get away from his guilt. It followed him, even after getting settled in a new life. A drow had taken him in, and in exchange Ikan told him and only him the truth. The drow, Luke, set Ikan up with the local blacksmith. It worked at his skills that he honed under his father, to the point he eventually became a full-fledged crafter.
The Ikan of now-a-days enjoys space and snow, with autumn being his favorite season. He's saved up enough to own a motorcycle that he uses for transportation and owns a large wolf-dog that he could feasibly ride too. He's diagnosed with both depression and anxiety and keeps medicine in him to keep himself calm. He occasionally has flare-ups (normally of frustration), but he tends to isolate himself until they've passed over.
Ikan wasn't entirely ready to be a dragon rider. The egg came as a trade for some of Luke's enchantment work and almost immediately hooked onto Ikan. He took care of it like he did of his dog, keeping it close to him and spending his free time with it. He didn't expect to keep it for so long, much less actually become its full-time owner. Now, Bruni and him are inseparable, with Bruni helping around the forge and Ikan creating better than ever metal-workings.
