R-039: Renji

Renji spends most of her time at her place of employment, an arena built for a large battler's guild. When she's not out in front of the crowd, she's behind the scenes helping to lug around the heavier equipment. She's close with her colleagues even if she puts on a front of hating them when out in the arena. Away from the audience, she even protects them and offers her life for them if things turn dire. She maybe has too much faith in healers, though- she's still got scars under her fur from where they couldn't patch her up enough after a too-tough fight.

Her bandana comes from her mentor. She meant the world to Renji and they loved to spar together, but now her mentor's fighting days are behind her. Renji carries on her legacy, striving to be the most powerful combatant in the guild.

Onyx and Renji had met before their fight, with Onyx caged but oddly somber. Renji had never seen a dragon without a rider, and soon she found out why - during the battle, she was chosen to be the giant dragon's pilot. The two instantly hooked and are a powerful force in battle. They each work in tandem with one another to defeat any opponent that comes before them.
