Akuji does nothing unless there's a reward in it for her. She's hasty and jumps to conclusions long before knowing all the facts. Unless there's payment involved, she won't go out of her way to screw up someone else's day, but if that's the way the day goes, she won't care one bit. Akuji uses anger like a hammer, and seems incapable of seeing any problem as anything but a nail. It's the only thing that keeps her going; under the anger she has nothing left but despair. She's motivated by only two things: an instinctive, merciless drive to survive, and a furious, hollow need to find her original homeworld and crack and crush it so totally that the Chronoscape itself forgets it ever connected to that one tiny hopeless dot.
But until she can muster the tools and power she needs to wreak justice on her own irredeemable race, she dwells in the mud and the gutters, a tiny hairy tick dug deep into the swamps of Southwest Shérok. Akuji ventures forth into the world, works, cheats, steals, and then she returns to her den and hides, biding her time, cultivating a hoard of weaponry and macabre trophies, proving to herself each and every day that she is strong, she is right, and she will succeed.
