Florian works at the great library on Ere d’la Mer. As a young, soft-spoken scholar, he is often regarded as a little brother to other librarians: weak, in need of protection, and naive. Overlooked, overshadowed, Florian often toils away, eager to prove himself in the eyes of his betters, not to show them up, but to be worthy of being on their level.

Florian is exceedingly clever but indecisive, unsure of where to put his intelligence and dedication to use. He dithers and waits, second-guessing his natural intuition and sincerely-held beliefs, anxiously wishing for a mentor or leader to point him in the right direction.
