Names: Delphine Deegan
Nicknames: Del, ''Mountain Woman'', ''Wild Wood Slasher''
Written description:
Age: Late 30's
Eye colour: Pale blue
Skin and Hair colour/type: Tanned, worn skin, hands rough from work. Hair is a wavy strawberry blond, badly taken care of. She usually wears in a long plait/braid. Usually has something streaked in it unless its before she goes to bed, when she washes it out and brushes it
Body: Looming at 5'12, bulky and wide shouldered, its hard to tell Delphine is a woman until she turns around and the soft curve of her jaw and the rise of her breasts are evident
Extra notable features:
Casts a masculine figure. Lare scar raked down one side of her face from a particularly angry bear. Thick brows, light freckles, and a large mole near the corner of her mouth. Rarely goes anywhere without her hunting knife in the least, her rifle and hand guns in the most. She can read, but more complicated things go over her head. Reading at all wasn't too common for a fair few people back then.
Other
Origin: 1910 AD, USA, Earth
Religion: N/A. Trys to be a good person but she's never been very good at it, coming from poverty in a cruel, hard time.
Morals: True Neutral/Grey. Will kill those that need killin', and save those that need savin'. Hunts and gathers for most of her food, but earns money doing odd manual jobs, selling her hides and bones, and poaching. Long as it benefits her in someway, she'll usually be tempted into doing it.
Clothing styles:
Comfortable, practical clothes that can withstand a beating or two. Usually flannel and denim with a waist coat to protect her core. Has a fur lined coat for the winter, and a deer hide hunting jacket for most anything else. Usually also has a bandanna she uses when robbing or poaching, and a wide brimmed leather hat to keep both the sun and the rain out her eyes. Overall - cowboy/outlawthemed.
Shares a house with: Winnie
Personality & History:
Del is a consistent, confident woman who knows what she wants and just how to take it. While she is a foreign human in this strange, magical world, her skills as a hunter and trader come full circle and keep her afloat, surviving just the way she always has. Living off the land. This does make her stray into the illegal dragon poacher side of things for some underhanded money, but money is money, and she's not a stranger to the kind made from other's blood. She's just used to it being human. And as far as she's concerned, a deer with a fancy horn is still a deer, even if she has bonded with dragons herself and knows better.
She is quite strong, both emotionally and physically, and is often not a person of many words. Once she has a task, she will methodically work through each problem and come out on top eventually, even if it takes many tries. Stubborn, her fortitude on certain things is high. She is a focused, a hard worker with simple pleasures and even simpler living requirements - one of the first things she did when coming to the 'scape is build herself and her partner Winnie a simple hunter's shelter until she'd gotten enough pelts and meat to sell to locals for some sileverence. From that she built a homestead for them.
Delphine is also not a stranger to the drink, or gambling, and on the latter she's actually quite good at it. Has a strong pokerface, and can probably drink most folk under the table. Drinking likely became a form of coping with life, but you wouldn't catch her being phillosophical about it. She's a very straight forward and logical person, not one to lose herself to imaginary causes, as she puts it. If she could smoke, she probably would as well, but she's yet to find anything close to what she used to get back home, and thats all she likes. So Winnie had to put up with cold turkey sobriety for a while, and he would be the first to tell you that wasn't fun.
Her ambition though can get a bit out of hand, and once she's gotten a foothold in a buisness, she's been known to hold onto her spot and try and climb its ranks in a cut throat, competative manor. Her one weakspot is her partner, who has become something of a found family member in the last few years, Winnie, who she was transported here with. She is sensitive to his needs, his care, and his wellbeing and god forbid anybody try and hurt that man seriously. She might be persuaded to look the other way to a light beating or two, with a bribe, or the fact she'd had a long damn day and he was being annoying anyway.
She has started to develop a soft spot for her dragons, though. The ones that have actually bonded with her usually help her hunt, find food, light the fires, carry heavy logs, and generally understand the world a bit better she's been dumped into. Which is fine by her. She misses her old stables a lot, and has always had a soft spot for horses - whats so different about dragons? All she has to do now, is figure out where to put a saddle...
