R-308: Dyews

Effortlessly clever and charismatic, Dyews manages continually to come out on top through no real effort of his own. He's chronically lazy, prone to taking hazardous shortcuts, and incurably selfish, yet when he pitches a new shady scheme, it somehow always sounds earnest. It's impossible even for Dyews to tell if he's fallen for his own spin; he would never throw his weight behind something that would certainly fail, but he keeps one foot propping the door open, ready to make a hasty exit once his enterprise starts to crumble. He loves the spotlight and adoration, chasing after it even when the people he's impressing aren't people he actually likes. But he loathes any sense of responsibility, quick to write off anyone he hurts as having fallen for an obvious joke or scam, putting the blame on them rather than his own earnestness and failure to follow through.
