R-358: Caso

Caso grew up in the halls of Tsotska d’la Mer, living on the dreams of being a dragon rider. He was always lacking in his studies though, preferring to try and sneak into dens and stables to try and speak to the dragons there. Climbing as high or low as the island would allow him, Caso played music for any dragon that would listen.
His independent nature eventually rewarded him with discovering an egg on the port of his island. Caso had no idea how the egg got there but knew it was meant for him. From that day onward he carried it loyally around alongside his flute. His studies improved. Slowly he began to gain respect in the community.
Inside, the nagging thought that dragons lived happily beyond their shores doing who-knows-what grew. How could they call themselves true friends of dragons when some lived lives unknown to them.
One day, he spied an unfamiliar ship on the seas, and he knew it was his chance to explore beyond. Caso was aware that his kind would not be pleased with this choice but was confident that he could learn much more about dragons out there. Once he had, they would surely welcome him back - right? He would prove to them what he had learned when the time came.
