They were high myths and stories from some forgotten corner of the Chronoscape, all told with an excitement only a child could have. She might have been young, but Mac knew a Good Rider when he saw one. With a bit of cooperation from the dragons of the area, he saw to it that some type of egg rolled its way into her arms. She would be sure to love and care for whatever popped out of that egg, but more importantly, she would be sure to inform it that it was a Good Bird. That was the most important part--at least to Mac.
