[Gift] [FOTN 23-24] 8. Kindness

Scipio, that resident green menace scuttling around the base, was currently ferrying people around after her rider let her run free for the day. She had nothing better to do, considering all of her work was done- after all, she thought she had well deserved that break. Those minerals won’t dig themselves up, you know! She’s very happy to help though. After all, that is what she is good at, and she certainly knows her rider, at least, appreciates her. Her little spiky tail thumped the ground at this thought.

A person quickly hurried away from the tail before the sharp spikes could hit them right in the face. Oops, she keeps forgetting she was a bit large for the humanoids around here.

No matter though, she wants to do something else! And currently that something else, she decided, would be to help little people with their little puny legs and large ambitions to move around. She always wondered how they held so much in their tiny heads but also had no way of achieving it- but she guessed that’s where she came in to help. So she spotted someone who looked to be in need and started to gently help them across the sandy windswept canyons that was her home.

Throat expanding in a happy chirp, she ‘gently’ picked up the person by the collar of their shirt – they seemed to need some help getting from one side of the canyon to the other, right? She’s here to help! – and proceeded to dangle them over what would certainly be a deadly drop as she raced across the small overpass ledge that went from one side to the other.

Afterwards, she was met by the terrified face of the person she had just tried to help, and the exasperated face of her rider. But hey, she still did good!
