[Gift] FOTN 2023 - #03 Ice Skating

Recently, Keshet had decided to pick up ice skating. After all, why shouldn’t she? She had the perfect figure for ice skating and the ice reflected all of her colors beautifully. She even matched the ice - when it looked nice anyways and reflected on sunny days - it was like she was meant for it! Why did she pick it up, well did it even really matter? After all, she was the one who chose to do it anyway and she was doing it perfectly.

When she glided on the ice, she had everyone’s eyes on her. She made sure that in her skating there was not a single imperfection. If there was, she stopped and redid her dance again. If she was not perfect, why would it matter? It had to be perfect. Nothing less than perfection would not stand in her eyes. And it would not stand either for her rider, she was sure.

Why Jack allowed the other dragons on the ice, she could not even imagine. It was not like them, but maybe they found it amusing like she had. They bumbled on the ice without any rhythm or stance! Often times, the dragons would bump into each other or skid around the ice in wild panic before suddenly they found it amusing. Jack had stopped watching after the fifth time one of the dragons bumped into each other and slid around. While they might not care, Keshet did. 

It was up to her, as always, to show them how it was done. She couldn’t even see how they would slide on the ice so pathetically. To make them move, she had flared her wings up and made them scatter. The ones who did not move, well she had to skate around them, practically herding them off the ice! Once they were away and she had all their eyes on them, she finally showed them how it was done. And it was marvelous.
