"Mama!"

The sound was faint, but, it resonated with Glasswing, even this far away. Not in a way that made them a particular candidate for father of the year, mind you, but they caused enough of a ruckus that it made him think one solitary thing in his head.

Easy prey.

Slithering and sliding along to see if he could catch any sight of the new creature, he was abruptly put to a stop but a large creature with sonar like ears and large feathery wings. It snorted at him disapprovingly, and roughly nudged him back to where he'd come from, causing Glass to let out an indignant little wail as he rolled onto his back and flailed his tail and wings around in protest.

Kittiwake, the creature was later recognized as, didn't care in the slightest. He  had heard the noise as well, and along with the older dragon Mavis had started to make their way over, Magnus in tow. He didn't particularly care about a wailing creature in the middle of a forest, but when the dog had kept alerting and alerting over and over again to there being something they all just HAD to go look at, he'd finally given in.

It wasn't like he could strangle the thing and throw it in a river. It was a leased creature, and it would soon outstay its welcome, he was sure. At least by its owner. For now, they had to endure.

"What even is it?" Magnus exasperatedly asked. "Its just a child. Or a small mimic. What is all the fuss about?"

Kittiwake's ears flicked disapprovingly at Magnus, now. It made the T'terre's eyes slowly narrow as Glass slowly struggled back onto his nub like feet and moved to craw up Magnu's form to settle across his narrow birdy shoulders, curling his tail around his neck for balance as he kissed at the dog-like Kirun.

Mavis scoffed.

"How long are you going to keep trying to adventure with us?" she asked, her voice a hissing breath. "I also grow tired of your presence"

Ignoring them all, the Kirun sniffed at the sweet scent in the air, and started to make his way over to roughly about where the noise was coming from.

Magnus narrowed his eyes further, and almost ordered Mavis to at least bite the dog creature, before he heard him take off running. Sighing, he followed their trail. Not having much else better to do then entertain a guest's fancies.

When they exited the hedge row they had been nearing, realizing too soon they had wandered into somebodies land, Magnus blanced as he noticed what looked like a tiny, gooey... dragon...?

He wasn't sure what it was. But he didn't want to touch it. Or have any of his dragons touch it.

It looked like one brush would have it super glued to-

"Big Momma gone!" the dragon wailed. Upon seeing Magnus, and much to his misfortune, it galloped towards him and leaped up into his arms, coating his clothes and wings in what he could only describe as viscous... syrup...?

Oh god.

Oh god it was SYRUP.

Grimacing, he tried to drop the dragon, but it's gooey little body clung onto him as it cried its sweet honey tears.

"Please help me find big momma? I miss them, I miss them lots"

Magnus had to refrain the sudden, great urge to throw the thing and never look back.

Mavis was his voice of reason.

'Perhaps this is an opportunity...' she whispered in his mind. 'We could increase your army with two more dragons, should we manage to kidnap both parent and child, Master'

He looked to her, considering. Before he sighed.

Fine.

Looking at the dragon again, he played nice. "Oh... little one, yes, well, we're rather busy, but we shall help you of course. Let us play a game while we do, wont that be fun?" he cooed. Voice sounding like a straight rod being forced by something to bend and grind into a new shape it wasn't used to being in. An unfamiliar, kind cadence.

When the small dragon agreed, Magnus slowly put it down - to the best of his ability - and shook off its slime.

"How about we play a lovely little game, called 'don't touch me!'. The rules are super simple, little thing, because all you must do is resist touching me for as long as you can. If you win, I'll give you a treat."
