[Gift] Fire and Phantom

Explosions echoed around the area, the obsidian ground lit up as the colors of the Sparknest's eruptions colored the area. Phantom paused, his gaze upwards to the starlit sky he could see through the colours. Where was she? While this was not the first time he'd courted her, and she him, her unpredictability always kept him on edge, though he knew she liked to make an entrance. A flicker of movement near the red sparks had him moving quicker, his sleek body blending in seamlessly with the obsidian ground around him.

Above him, Suzaku soared, flirting with Phantom was a joy itself and he'd grown larger since their first dalliance, nearby her companion frolicked, diving through the dormant spires.. Though for how long they would remain that was anyone's guess.  A startled squeak sounded as one such spire erupted, red flickers adorning the starclad sky as her companion wove between them, a series of other colors also coloring the sky.  Below, the dark form of her suitor wove, heading in their direction, drawn to the red color...  the dragoness hummed thoughtfully, watching the antics of her much companion as it danced amidst the sparks of the great nest. 

Phantom didn't fly, instead he used his larger form to coil around the largest of the cluster of spires, most of which were sending of the red sparks that had caught his attention.... a small sleek form weaving towards him and landing on his head, crooning affectionately... though he could still not see her larger self. Still, her companion was here... which meant the dragoness wasn't too far away... and he had grown since their last meeting... both in size and in magic.....  The darkness around him flared as he drew on his dark magic, the dark celestial wisps spreading, enclosing the immediate area within a glittering sphere of magic, the obsidian hue shattered by the starlike spots of color of his dark magic... and a stunning canvas for the Sparknest's colors... red , blue.. to stunning yellow ... and there, Suzaku's fire tipped body as she dove across his magic, touching the living shadow with her talons, the glimmering stars showing through her translucent wings.

Suzaku had been intending to follow her small companion and dive into Phantom... obviously through the colors to show of her acrobatics; but when his magic flared encompassing them in a night sky bubble that felt of him... she changed her mind, oh she'd still show off... but within this bubble. He'd created a perfect canvas for her. She roared, diving towards him and spreading her own fire form her scales and tips up to her wings, the translucent membrane coming alight as she spiraled past him the bright blaze akin to that of a phoenix, the Sparknest's colors lighting up the dark bubble and the hues of her scales, the flecked blue gleaming, the orange alight with her fire... and through it all she could feel him watching, not just from his body, but from the star covered darkness that was his, and her fire.. it burned .....

Phantom flexed his claws, the heat of her flames scalding.. if not for the instinctual cloaking of his magic.. and her own precise movements in the air. With a lunge he took to the air, shadows dancing around him, spreading massive wings akin to hers, though where hers was fire, his was fluid shadow, streaked with stars... and so he trailed her, letting her lead him in the air in an aerial dance, so focused on that the bubble he had created with magic retreated, and he soared with her into the true night sky, colored eruptions all around them as they wove far above the obsidian land....
