Rune may have a taste for souls, but that doesn’t mean she is heartless. She’s pragmatic as well, but understanding of others. She deals with the souls of others, but still considers the future of would-be victims. A bit of mercy goes a long way. Even if she acts in her self-interest, her quiet compassion for others doesn’t go unnoticed. The line between random chaos and focused whims is thin, but recognizable to this little dragon. Salina is a whimsical creature, to be sure. She does whatever catches her fancy. Whether befriending a strange shadow-creature or jumping into a strange new world, she has no problem going with the flow. A bit of luck is on her side, sure, and that makes the world a bit more comfortable. But she also has a bit of venom, a bit of instinct, a sense of humor, and a long time to get accustomed to any situation.

The Jungles quite enjoyed messing with this vampire. Half the fun of making fun of Mikhail was seeing how he responded. The other half was seeing how he wasn’t phased long at all. He kept to his work, but less for the sake of working, and more for the sake of fulfilling his duty. He was dedicated. He was frail under sunlight, but worked for his father’s sake anyways. Even as he relaxed in the evening, he was charitable enough to feed a strange and frightening creature a flower. He might have been mischievous, but he was wise enough to remember how to care for eggs. That nurturing nature instinctively surfaced. Without a doubt, Mikhail is Ocean.

The boy by the water was quiet at times, yes, and perhaps hesitant to put himself out there, but he was kind – one of the kindest types of people around. His compassion for those hurt by the rogue wave, his dedication to healing those in need, his honest delight in the world around him… it was sincere, and it was beautiful. The dragons of the sea spoke in whispers of the boy, and elected to make him a rider of their own, to give him a guide for the depths of the water. But ocean, on its own, could only do so much. A summons was sent, to the shimmering, armored dragons of the land, and metal gave their blessing.

Free at last! Seven, now with his own number, can do as he pleases. And what does he do? Hunt, of course. He follows his instincts and his bestial fixation to make quite the catch. Or, at least, try to make quite the catch. A natural born “hunter” like him attracts the attention of the earth element. Alongside that, something impresses the light dragons! Even if he feels a bit dissatisfied in his own appearance, they find something about him quite beautiful.

Mercury’s meticulous note-keeping and study was more than enough to attract the attention of a certain element. His constant desire to learn more and collect knowledge helped him to care for other dragons. And care he did, for he went to great lengths to make sure every dragon he met was well cared for. Warlock seemed an intelligent fellow tossed into a tricky situation. He saw what was around him and took the time to understand the situations he was in. This was a perceptive man who was also a bit unsure of his place in the world – despite all this high society around him, it seemed challenging for him to fit in with it. Calluna’s literal trial by fire did more than leave her fur scorched. It brought her into the care of others, where she did her best to care for them in return. Her loyalty was known right away, letting the Shéar woman trust her with something more important than her life. Calluna took on the burden without question. She saw to it that the bodies of her friends received the burial they deserved. She remains loyal to her past and cares even now for the departed.

It was only natural that someone as devoted to a dragon as Ramay–or, at least, someone who could tame an irritable thunder dragon–would attract an egg of like element. The need to protect and fulfill his duty was more than enough for Ramay to earn an egg from the Thunder. As for their mate? It wasn’t hard to find someone that also favored the would-be Rider. He was a hard worker, and despite getting looped into an unexpected occupation, persevered. The egg hatches to reveal…

Udua’s kindness showed through in everything she did. Her care and concern for others knew no bounds. She was highly attentive to dangers and made sure everyone knew about them. While this may have normally attracted the attention of a jungle, her encounter with the dragon in the ruins quite changed that. The ocean dragon knew her own kind, but the resilient nature of the stilla as it fought for its life was something different. She recognized it all the same. Udua had something compatible, something strong, something just as admirable as the depths of the sea.
