No Element | Free Trait
Mask is quite versatile and allows you to decorate your dragon's face. This can be pretty handy when you have a dragon with no crest!
Trait Range
On the left, you can see the starting points for vibrissae. On the right, you can see the starting points and approximate range of brows, beards, and the egg tooth.
Color Rules
Because Mask is completely within the range of Accents, it may use the color of accents. You may also make them a solid color of their own or a gradient from one color to another within the elemental palette, black, or white.
Shape
There are several different aspects of Mask. The first are the whiskers, or vibrissae, that you might see on cats. These are very thin sensory hairs, similar to what you might find on mice, cats, foxes, and so on. Below is an example of the maximum thickness/length of vibrissae. The second are the beard/brow ridge effects. These may be furry or spiked, even if the dragon does not have velvet scales or smooth scales. The right is an example of maximum beard scruff/fluffy brows.
Effects
Accents are affected normally by effect traits like Vibrancy, Engraved, Shimmer, Dazzle, Display, and so on.
Notable Interactions
Accents
Accents can affect any part of Mask.
Common Issues
In this example, the everything is too big/long, and goes out of range:
In the next example, the vibrissae are coming out of the wrong area on top. They have also formed a moustache, which is not the same as vibrissae!
