This prompt is only available to dragons with the Independent trait or the MAGE Trait. The traits cannot be recessive.
Independent dragons are unable to form the same bonds that Riders do. It's difficult for them to master magic at all. Their powers are comparable to the average human as opposed to a Rider, so bonding with even one Familiar is a difficult task...but for some particularly ambitious dragons, it might be possible. A dragon may bond to a single familiar using the Rite of Summoning. Dragons with the Rancher job may acquire up to two Familiars (this number counts any Soulbound familiars it was born with). A Keepsake Collar add-on must be included with the prompt. These are currently available in the Silvence Store. Additionally, the Familiar you intend to attach must be included as an add-on with the prompt. As a final requirement, the dragon must have a den to house their Familiar.

Prompts
Choose one of the following prompts to complete the Rite of Summoning. Prompts must focus on the Familiar you intend to attach.
| 1) Your dragon finds a small creature abandoned and in need of help. It might be a runt rejected by its mother, a surplus animal left behind in a box, or perhaps even an ex-Familiar that belonged to someone else. Show your dragon helping it and forming a bond. | 2) Perhaps your dragon has an animal in mind for its Familiar, but never encounters one in the wild. Show it seeking out a specific animal by searching through Ranches, asking animal breeders, visiting shelters, or even purchasing one from a pet store. |
| 3) Sometimes, Familiars choose their masters. Show the Familiar convincing the dragon that they ought to form a bond. | 4) Your dragon feels a powerful magical presence and follows it to find a Familiar. Show them doing their best to form a contract with this newfound companion. |
